Besides exercise, proper diet, enough sleep, and doing supplements, what else will speed up weight loss?

Since hearing from my recruiter that military is about to select me for OCS in about a month, I'm now in a hurry to lose 20-30 pounds or 8% body fat to make the cut or else they'll change their mind on picking me. I already know about mixing in even amount of lifting and cardio days each week. I hear better to do cardios on empty stomach cuz your body will fuel up on some of your body fat rather than calories you may have taken in from eating first.
With the dieting, I know I gotta lay off foods that are junk, got flour, starch, or sugar. I heard it's ok to indulge one day a week; should I even keep those cheat days moderate as well? So far I've been eating 5-6 portioned meals/day (spread out by 1.5-2 hours apart): fruits/veggies, soy protein powder mixed with milk, protein RTDs, protein bars, etc...
Recruiter suggested I double (or even triple) the cardio workouts to double (or triple) the calorie-burning, even wear a trash bag on me.
I also hear trying to get enough sleep helps with a speedy weight loss as well. What if I have some scheduling conflict (summer classes in morning and work in late night)? On top of proper diet and exercise, would I lose weight faster working out first thing for the day on empty stomach and not enough sleep, or get enough sleep by another hour or two, eat first, and then workout some time later?
I know definitely good idea to stick with water for fluids. Will drinking diet soda on cheat days interfere with the weight loss effort?
I've heard from this one Army guy (I'm trying out for Navy) that besides proper diet and exercising regularly, he sometimes lay an iron (low heat) on his stomach. Does that really help in the weight loss or burning fat?
Nobody still answered this question. Which way is faster in losing weight?
a) Not enough sleep, workout on empty stomach, and then eat after
b) Enough sleep, eat first, workout after
Ive seen that ppl will usually wear a workout suit made out of trash bags and sit in a sauna. You lose weight very quickly but you may be become very weak which is a negative usually fighters do this before a weigh in to make weight.Try maybe working out twice a day.
Don't wear a trashbag unless it is within 24 hours of when you get weighed–It will only cause dehydration.
Lifting weights Big Movements will ramp up your metabolism and help you lose weight. You can do many things but these five movements should be your base.
Squats
Deadlifts
Power Cleans
Bench Press
Pullups
Couple of tips:
Start your day with protein. Have a couple of eggs (I like to do have 4 egg whites with 1 yolk) and one piece of whole wheat toast. There have been many studies how this alone will help you intake fewer calories through out the day.
If you are in a hurry to lose this weight and body fat, yes, keep your cheat days moderate, I would probably make it more like a cheat hour, pick one meal during that day and allow yourself to have what you want, but then go back to being good.
During exercise, that trash bag thing will help you sweat more, but it's hard. Start doing intervals every few days with your different cardio workouts. If you are doing them right, you won't be able to do more than 3 full effort intervals, but you will continue to burn calories for 48 hours after.
And, I would do a cleanse. Sorry in advance for the mini sales pitch, but there is a company that I distribute for (only so I can get the discount myself really) that provides a 9 day cleanse that will clear out your system and help you towards your weight loss goals. I do it quarterly, and the first time I did it I lost 9 lbs and 3% body fat, but I started already in a healthy weight zone. It takes the toxins out of your body that can make it harder for you to burn fat. I've heard greater success stories than mine, but again, I wasn't overweight to begin with, I just wanted to detox. E-mail me if you'd like a link, I don't want to be the person who puts up their full sales pitch in the guise of answering a question.
And finally, do a Suddenly Slender body wrap right before you go back to weigh and measure in (I promise, I have no financial interest in this one). Look on their website to see if there is a provider near you. They are all well trained in wrapping military professionals who need to drop inches before they weigh and measure in. If you know what measurements you need to hit, they can wrap you several times (safely) in one day to drop the inches.
Good luck!
For such a big weight loss in one month, see your doctor and get his help and recommendations.
Some people find diet soda makes them hungry, or makes them eat more. Pay attention to your own body.
You should eat about 1500-1800 calories a day of WHOLE grains (brown rice, whole wheat pasta, whole grain bread, whole grain cereals like oatmeal and barley), lean protein like chicken and fish (and lean beef) and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Don't eat white flour, refined sugar, and fried foods. Replace all the processed protein products with real protein.
Take a good quality vitamin supplement like Nature's Plus, from a health food store.
The "wear a trash bag" thing will cause you to lose water, not fat. You might better take a diuretic pill the day before your physical.
Don't triple your calorie-burning exercises. If you reduce your calorie intake too much, your body will go into "starvation mode" and stop burning calories at all. Then you'll gain it all back, and damage your kidneys besides.
Your recruiter isn't interested in your health, he's interested in making his numbers look good to his higher ups.
Get your doctor's help.
Sew your mouth shut.
to be honest the best way is not to go on a diet or use pills as ive tried them all and they dont work lol but just change your diet and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time i lost 2 stone since may its great and i eat loads too im just eating the right foods but instead of swimming try aqua arobics its great and really fun ! great question star for you and goodluck !
if you increase your workouts try wearing a heat reflective material, usually these items are used to preserve heat but if you turn them inside out then it will reflect the heat energy produced by your body back and it will effectively be like a sauna or steam bath. additionally take a steam session after a workout but dont try to work too much on development but go more for cardio. more repetitions with a lighter weight will burn bodyfat without ripping the muscles and producing extra body weight, thus toning and trimming whatever body mass you already have. try joining muscle groups during workouts so you dont do too much for one area of the body. ie. upper body and torso, with shoulders and arms
just drink 1 glass of milk for dinner
Going to the gym
