    protein protein protein!!!!
and complex carbs, but mostly protein.
i have an extremely high metabolism and so i’m eating all day long. if i don’t eat meat (eggs, cheese) early in the day and keep it coming i’m like a sack of potatoes (feel very lazy).

you prob know that the more sugar/or flour are in something, the faster you burn it. and then you’re left w/ nothing to give you energy. go for protein, it burns slowest. (think meat, eggs, cheese, protein bars) complex carbs burn next slowest. complex carbs are bread things that are not white or fruit and veggies.

hope you can take something from this. good luck!

I am the same way about snacking. But I am also an emotional eater, and a boared eater–meaning I eat when I’m board, not really hungry.

I just joined Weight Watchers, and I’ve learned a whole lot about my bad snacking habits and when I’m board, upset or really hungry. Like you I get grumpy if I don’t have food.

I have discovered the Kashi GO LEAN line of products. They are excellent!! I especially like the Carmel Corn Crucnch Bars. They have a lot of fiber per serving–which will help you feel full, and not alot of calories. They are also sweet, so I get my sugar fix too! I also try to have an apple sliced up, or a 1/2 cup of pears or peaches. Again, these are all very filling, and not so bad for you. Any veggie is also good—try mini carrot sticks with some sort of dressing, or sliced bell peppers.

    Good luck

Snacking is actually very good for you-3 small meals and 3 or more snacks a day. Eatting snacks should help you keep your portions down during meals. It helps keep your metabolism up and your blood sugar levels balanced, which is an excellent way to lose weight and keep it off and stay healthy.

Examples of healthy snacks: fresh fruit and vegetables
