no carb diet seems impossible for me..?
ok im 15 years old i play hockey, lacrosse and football and i am 6ft, 183pds. i want to lose a few pounds of fat and try to sacrifice as little muscle as possible. the no carb diet seems impossible for me because i am still growing and i need my minerals and vitamans and i need carbs to fuel me in sports because i am aware of the performance loss in a no carb diet. so my question is will i still be able to lose fat at a semi rapid pace if i eat about six meals a day each meal ranging from 300-500 calories with at least 20g of protein,20gcarbs and little fat and still be able to lose fat while i weightlift, sprint and train in preseason with my football team everyday? thanks

No carb diets are ridiculous
If you wan’t to weight lift and your not eating any carbs or a very little unreasonable amount of fat GOOD LUCK because you will be lifting 10 lbs.
Carbs, Fat, Protein all give you energy so you can work out.
I really hope you meant 300-500 calories EACH meal because if your only eating that much a day thats horrible.
DO NOT DO ALL CARB DIETS
Just concentrate on eating a balanced healthy diet that is about 2100-2400 calories. (That’s how much a healthy male should be eating)
You sound motivated, that’s great!
Stay away from no-carb diets. eat a balanced diet of carbs/protein/fat.. drink a lot of water, go hard at your workouts, and you’ll see your extra weight shed by the end of preseason. Try not to calorie count, listen to your body
"each meal ranging from 300-500 "
I feel that 6 meals at this amount is a fair count as long as you are working out everyday. A good current example is Michael Phelps who consumes around 8000 calories a day. You are consuming less than half. Granted, he is doing more, but you see carbs are energy and with you lifting you need carbs. If you were only doing cardio, then a "no carb diet" might be a little more sensible. Keep working out and just remember to eat healthy. Cut out things like chocolate and keep pasta with its carbs for your energy. Hope this wasn’t too long to get read.
There are alot of misconceptions about carbs. Here is a great article that will definitely help you out…
