WHY THE **** DO PEOPLE TALK ABOUT AND GO ON LOW CARB DIETS?????!!!!?

Im 16, 5'6" and 118 lbs. I'm fed up of hearing this low carb diet!! i try n convince everybody that low carb diets r gona ruin their bodies but no one listens!! i run long distance, about 4-6 miles 5 times a week..i cram...no I STUFF myself with carbs..that lyk fuel for my body...and still i'm skinny...wats with this bogus low carb diet?? if i don't get my daily carbs i feel like a car that's out of operation!!

If everyone ran 4-6 miles 5 times a week, there wouldn’t be many people left talking about dieting at all! So while it’s great your body can handle a lot of carbs, most people aren’t as active as you and simply don’t need the amount of calories that carbs provide.
I don’t believe that carbs should be cut completely, but for many many people it’s a dangerous area because it’s so easy to over do it. When a bagel has half your recommended servings of starch for the day and people sit down to a whole plate of pasta (not the 1/2 cup that makes up a single serving), it’s no wonder so many people have gone anti-carbs.

energy not used=stored into fat
hence, why people are fat, they dont exercise
thats why they go on low carb diets, so they dont have to exercise
the ppl that go on those diets are not as active as you

well one its because you run so you need the carbs and two low carb diets actually help you relax so for some people its good. but of course not everybody
Its alright for you to have all those carbs as your burn them off… you probably have an extremly high metabolism. meaning what ever you eat, you will burn off quickly.
for someone who isnt as active as you are, they dont need all the carbs to keep them going. I consume about 300 calories a day and none of that is carbs, although i have started running, and boxing, i still find the energy.
For some people a low carb diet is the most noticable and fast way to loose weight, as i believe it is noticable after a week.
What the heck, you just posted a question today claiming that you were over 200 lbs and you were depressed. Now you’re bragging? You are such a fake. Douche.
Carbs are needed for energy. It is like fuel for our bodies. The thing is that you have to exercise if you eat lots of carbs, because carbs turn to fat if you don’t burn the energy it provides.
Best thing to do is just to live active lifestyles and try to eat a balanced diet containing carbs, protein and enough water.
i think that low carb diets are bad for you as well. ur lucky that you stay skinny with stuffing yourself with carbs. but if you ever get the chance, tell them about my cuzins grandma. she went on a low carb diet and almost ate nothing for weeks. now she is super skinny, but has problems taking in very much food. she cannot gain back very much weight unless she eats it little more by little more every day. and she now regrets going on that diet.
all they have to do is work out..jogging, swimming, playing with their pets…playing sports. there are lots of fun ways to exercise
