Eating grapefruit does help you loose weight.

Early results from US researchers suggests that eating grapefruit really does help people lose weight, and could help reduce the risk of developing diabetes. The "grapefruit groups" also had reduced levels of insulin, the hormone which enables the body to metabolize sugars. Glucose levels were also lower, suggesting a more efficient sugar metabolism.

BUT...if you est TOO MUCH grapefruit, like in your diet, it can be harmful. It is quite an acidic fruit and in theory if you ate too many acidic foods you would eventually upset the delicate acid and alkaline balance that your body has.

What you should be aware of though is that grapefruit and grapefruit juice can interfere with the absorption of medication, and can cause negative side affects if eaten or drunk with medication, or within a short period of time of taking any medication.
However If you're not on any kind of medication you have nothing to worry about.

As far as Grapefruit helping you to lose weight goes, the main reason behind this is because it is a fruit that really helps to fill you up. Therefore if you eat grapefruit regularly you will eat less food throughout the day and subsequently lose weight.

It doesn't have any magical fat burning properties, but if you eat half a grapefruit before you have a meal you will eat less of your meal, that's where the theory that grapefruit helps you to lose weight comes from.

Sure, you might lose a few pounds. All water weight, of course. Your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to the fat.
You'll feel sick, queasy, and have 0 energy.
And you'll gain all the weight back the moment you get off of the diet.
Try a more sensible approach. Introduce some protein to hold on to muscle mass.

It will work at the beginning and thats it. I think it's like the pineapple diet. It will just clean out your system for the next few days. So you might be going poop a lot. When you go on diets like that, you gain it all back fast.

It might work but it looks a bit risky and when you stop you might gain the weight back what I do suggest is that you eat smaller amount of food healthier and before you exercise like 30 to an hour before drink fresh grapefruit juice because its known to burn fat

What you have here will not work all you will do is get run down and sick, this is not a diet:Breakfast: 50cal unleavened bread, 1 grapefruit
Lunch: 50cal unleavened bread, 1 grapefruit
Snack: 50cal unleavened bread, <100 cal worth of fruit (ex: 2 kiwi)
Dinner: 50cal unleavened bread, 1 grapefruit
Total Calorie Intake: is about 650
I will exercise about 30 min/day (approximately 200-250 cal)This is a mission where you will be so starved you will eat everything in sight ,because you will be so hungry after a week of this.

You need to be eating much more than that, at least 1200-1500 calories/day. That diet isn't healthy-you aren't going to be able to get all your vitamins and minerals from bread and grapefruit. And besides, even if you lose a bunch of weight that way as soon as you stop you're going to just put the weight back on. If you're serious about losing the weight and keeping it off you need to find a healthy diet plan that works for you and stick to it as well as exercising regularly. I'd recommend talking to a nutritionist.
