Don't take pills. They are unnatural, dangerous, and don't address the root cause of your problem. It was not the lack of pills that got you heavy, that is not the fix you need. You probably got here through improper diet and lifestyle. That is the fix you need.

We are purposefully misinformed about food in America. Our education about nutrition is designed to sell us products (vegetables don't matter, only vitamins do, these doritos are low-fat so they must be healthy, etc). Eat good, natural foods. Calories don't matter, nor do fat, carbs, sugars, or any other component of food. What matters the

Asian cultures have long ago figured out how to ear right. A lot of what we are taught here is wrong and contributes to obesity.

Different cultures in Asia eat very different cuisines, but they all adhere to the same principles. Eat mostly vegetables (a wide variety, local, fresh, and organic), simple grains (more rice, less bread and pasta), some fruit, a little meat (all types), no dairy and NO ARTIFICIAL OR "DIET" FOODS. The body does not know what to do with these compounds and this slows the metabolism. Drink 1/2 to 1 cup of green tea with most meals.

Get some exercise every day (different types) and don't hold on to stress.

"The Asian Diet: Simple secrets for eating right, losing weight, and being well" by Bussell explains the diet and the rationale.
"The Asian Diet: get slim and stay slim the Asian way" by Tran has recipes that adhere to the principles.

Don't buy that stuff! It's really bad for you. I took it several years ago and it really messes you up. It's made me feel like I was on speed (what I imagine that would feel like, anyways). That guy who owned the company (out here in San Diego) is now in jail. It's really bad stuff!

    From Wikipedia:
"Metabolife's founder was convicted of lying to the FDA and concealing evidence of ephedra's dangers, and the company and its owner were both convicted of income tax evasion. A congressional investigation found that Metabolife had received thousands of reports of serious adverse events, many occurring in young and otherwise healthy people, and that Metabolife concealed the reports and acted with "indifference to the health of consumers."[2]
